Lockout report from my hometown
Stephanie Domet has a lockout story in this week's issue of The Coast:
I am, unbelievably, deeply sad about being locked out. It doesn't feel like a vacation. It feels like a betrayal.

Great column. Stephanie is a colleague of mine at DNTO. Nice to see she's getting additional work, too. :)

Agreed. Stephanie is a wonderful human being, and a great radio producer. She's been a great help to me.

The part that made my heart break the most:
"By day two, the same guide includes in her spiel about our building that we are on strike right now. “We’re locked out, actually,” a few of us say. It’s a subtle distinction, but a very important one. “Yes, they’re locked out,” she says. “Now let’s look away.” And they do. The light changes, and they roll on.
Very perceptive. It IS easier to look away, and many people would rather do just that.
Stephanie, I think you kick butt. Thanks for the link, Dan.
